A captivating Victorian taxidermy display featuring three exotic hummingbird specimens artfully arranged on naturalistic branches with preserved ferns and mosses, all housed under the original hand-blown glass bell jar dome on a turned ebonised wooden base, circa 1880. This style of natural history display was enormously popular in Victorian parlours. The specimens and botanical elements remain in remarkably well-preserved condition. Total height with dome: 42cm. A fascinating piece of Victoriana and natural history.
