A breathtaking French Louis XV-style overmantel mirror dating to circa 1860. The elaborate frame is carved from solid wood and finished in genuine water gilding with a soft, aged patina. The crest features a central cartouche flanked by flowing acanthus leaves, scrollwork, and floral garlands. Original mercury plate glass with characteristic foxing that adds romantic character. Dimensions: 145cm x 95cm. A magnificent focal point for drawing rooms and period interiors.
