Details
A refined Georgian mahogany wine cooler of oval form with elegant satinwood crossbanding and boxwood string inlay, circa 1790. The interior retains its original lead lining for holding ice, and the cooler sits on a square tapered pedestal with four splayed legs ending in brass toe caps and castors. The body features a pair of brass lion-head ring handles. A practical yet beautiful piece that can serve as a wine cooler, planter, or magazine holder. Height: 65cm, Width: 50cm.
