A charming Meissen porcelain figurine depicting a young shepherdess tenderly cradling a lamb, dating to circa 1880. The figure is exquisitely detailed with hand-painted polychrome enamels in soft pastel tones. The shepherdess wears a flower-sprigged dress with delicate lace-effect modelling. The base features applied floral bocage in the classic Meissen tradition. Bears the iconic blue crossed swords factory mark on the underside. Height: 24cm. Minor professional restoration to one flower bud, otherwise in excellent antique condition.
